Overview

Version 4.0 represents a complete architectural overhaul of the FIMI Taxonomy, transitioning to a Quarto-based website with improved navigation, search, and cross-referencing capabilities.

Migrated from standalone HTML to Quarto website framework

Data-Driven Architecture

All content is now generated from authoritative CSV files:

function.csv - Function definitions and mappings
mechanisms.csv - Mechanism descriptions and function associations
terrain.csv - Terrain factors
channel_types.csv - Channel type definitions
examples.csv - Documented real-world examples

This data-driven approach ensures consistency and enables programmatic updates to the taxonomy.
